If you are playing on defense, it will be harder for the zombies to get to you. If you are using an assault rifle, you will notice that these zombies are tougher than the ones without an assault rifle. You will notice them by the big pile of zombie heads that you will see when you are approaching a group of zombies. You will also notice that some zombies are tougher than others. If the player allows the zombie to attack him/her before the round ends, the zombie will deflect the attack and will not release any zombies to join in the fight.
However, there are certain conditions under which the zombie will not deflect attacks. When a zombie attacks, it will try to stop the attack with its own body.
